250+ Members Strong
Starting from humble beginnings as a group of volunteers known as the "Flagler Alerts", the West Palm Beach Fire Department has grown to be 250+ members strong. We provide Fire Service, Emergency Medical Services, Hazardous Materials Mitigation, and Technical Rescue Response to 58 square miles and over 200,000 residents and daily commuters, as well as surrounds communities through mutual aid agreements.
Community Outreach
As members of the community, your Firefighter/Paramedics take every opportunity to impact the lives of the residents of West Palm Beach. Through toy drives, charity events, and humanitarian projects West Palm Beach Firefighter/Paramedics leave a last impact. We strive to not only be there in your time of greatest need, but also be a neighbor you can count on.
Striving for Diversity
We respond to widely diverse call types, including medical, hazardous materials, technical rescue, and others. We also respond to a diverse population and strive for cultural competency and a diverse workforce. As an organization the West Palm Beach Association of Fire Fighters is always striving to be as diverse as the population we serve.
More than Fighting Fires
As the City of West Palm Beach as grown and evolved so have the calls for emergency service. Your Firefighter/Paramedics have adapted and provide the largest pre-hospital care available. Even in the face of a global pandemic the West Palm Beach Firefighter/Paramedics have been there to help fight COVID-19. Most recently, your Firefighter/Paramedics have the primary distribution method for COVID-19 Vaccine for residents of West Palm Beach.
